Gold and Pink Summer Wedding by Kelly Cronin Photography

I’m convinced that a gold and pink color wedding palette is never going to go out of style. Ever! The gold cake and pink peonies here are perfect for this casually elegant with a splash of tradition wedding beautifully captured by Kelly Cronin.
From the bride: We chose to get married in STARS, the Main Dining room in the Main Inn of Chatham Bars Inn for a couple of different reasons. We wanted to get married in the spring, a great kickoff to our favorite time of year: summer/fishing season! And we wanted our day to be special, unique and to have a little more of a formal flavor as opposed to the beach weddings CBI typically attracts. The views from the Main Inn are unbeatable, clear views of the ocean, seals on the sandbar and sunset! The Main Inn is so elegant, and the dining room has an understated ballroom feel. Sunset wasn’t until 8:30pm that night, so the whole room had views of the ocean for almost the entire reception no matter where you were standing.

I had a very clear vision for my flowers; I wanted bright, cheery spring flowers, lots of tulips, cherry blossoms, garden roses and, of course, peonies! I love the way the high/low arrangements created such a magical feeling.

I chose a champagne/gold dress for the bridesmaids, as I love the golden hue and knew my color scheme would consist of lots of gold accents with colorful pink spring flowers. And, of course, the dress coordinated with the gold wedding cake! I chose an Amsale wedding dress with a bigger skirt and fitted lace top. I wanted something timeless, elegant, but simple – and when else do you get to wear a big skirt like that (my something new)! For my jewelry, I wore my mother’s pearl earrings (something borrowed!), and a pearl bracelet with a diamond clasp that was given to my Mom by my Dad the day I was born (something old!).

My gift to the bridesmaids were a variety of different color pastel earrings that would match their bouquets, and I gave them each blush pink pashminas that they ended up needing down on the beach for pictures!

It truly was the best day of our lives at our favorite place in the world which will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
