Highline Engagement by Sage Studios Photography

No doubt Highline Park in New York City was made for engagement sessions. With so many interesting spots for photos, the backdrop variety is great. Engagement photos are a great way to get to know your photographer, learn to become comfortable in front of a camera, get creative and have fun, and for most couples it’s the first time they have professional photos taken. The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7188Anna and Kameron met at work, a Big 4 accounting firm in NYC, back in 2010 and became friends – getting to know each other at holiday parties and happy hours.  We finally started dating in 2011 (Anna played a little hard to get, but Kameron was very persistent!).  On the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend 2014, Kameron planned a picnic in Central Park (Kameron wanted to take Anna out on a row boat in the park and propose, but after running the plan by Anna’s family, he thought – Anna is an admitted clutz, and there’s a good chance: 1) the ring would ended on the bottom of the lake, or 2) the rowboat would have capsized!).

He packed a backpack with a blanket, a bottle of sparkling rosé, some glasses and…the ring!  After walking Anna all over the park to find the perfect spot, they settled in an area outside the Sheep’s Meadow.  Anna started to think maybe Kameron was going to propose, but he played it cool.  After about an hour and a half, he suggested they open the rosé.  As Anna was fiddling with the cork, Kameron got in position.  She popped the bottle, looked up, and found Kameron on his knee with the ring box open.  Kameron asked Anna to marry him, and after what seemed like forever, Anna put down the rosé, said YES!, and, in true Anna fashion, as she leaned in to hug Kameron…she spilled the rosé all over their blanket.  It was perfect.

Anna and Kameron are having a “big fat Greek wedding” (seriously…Anna is from a large Greek Cypriot family and Kameron is not – it is just like the movie) in September 2015.  They’ll be getting married in New Rochelle, New York at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (the church where Anna was baptized), with fun, food and dancing to follow down the street at The Fountainhead.  We cannot wait for the big day!!The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7171 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7172 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7173 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7174 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7175The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7176 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7177 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7178 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7179 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7181The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7180 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7182 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7183 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7184 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7185 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7186 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_7187
