New Jersey Wedding by Daniel Moyer Photography

This swoon-worthy wedding is my idea of the perfect beach wedding. With intensely blue skies, warm sand under their feet and the beautiful sound of the surf this had to have been the most magical day.
The Westchester Wedding Planner_2022What was your planning process like?
We both live busy lives in the NYC area so for the wedding; we both wanted something that felt like a retreat and was organic, romantic and simplistic. We found just that in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. It was perfect for us since we both have a connection to the Jersey shore and most of our family and friends live within 2 hours of LBI. We tried to keep planning as simple as possible so that the wedding day was about us and celebrating the beginning of our marriage.

Where did you draw your inspiration from during your planning process? Our inspiration came from the many weekends spent in coastal New England. Our colors were blue and orange. We did not add decorations to the ceremony area. We felt that the golden glow of the sun setting over the beach and ocean was enough. Our reception was at The Boat House. You could hear the waves crashing under the floor boards. The only decorations we added were dim string lights and candles for a romantic ambiance.

What did you find challenging and what do you wish you’d known? The most challenging part of the process for us was finding the venue, because that determines the date and sets the tone for the rest of planning. We knew exactly what we wanted, which was great food, a nontraditional venue by the beach and within our budget. Once we found The Boathouse, we knew right away that was it.

What advice do you have for brides and grooms planning right now? Your wedding should be one of the most fun events in your life, so try not to get stressed during the planning process. It’s easy to get caught up on the little annoyances that pop up and worry about how something will turn out, causing you to lose track of what is important. Do whatever makes you happy and try not to listen to others’ input if it’s not what you want. Doing what you want, makes the day more personal and fun all around! The Westchester Wedding Planner_1986 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1988 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1990 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2011The Westchester Wedding Planner_1992 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1994 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1995 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1999The Westchester Wedding Planner_2000The Westchester Wedding Planner_2005The Westchester Wedding Planner_2006The Westchester Wedding Planner_2007The Westchester Wedding Planner_2010The Westchester Wedding Planner_2013The Westchester Wedding Planner_2015The Westchester Wedding Planner_2016The Westchester Wedding Planner_2017The Westchester Wedding Planner_2024The Westchester Wedding Planner_2025The Westchester Wedding Planner_2026The Westchester Wedding Planner_2027The Westchester Wedding Planner_2029The Westchester Wedding Planner_2031The Westchester Wedding Planner_2033Photographer: Daniel Moyer Photography | Dress Store: Castle Couture | Cinema and Video: Enchanted Celebrations | Event Venue: The Boat House Restaurant | Hair Stylist: Tiffany’s Salon & Spa | Men’s Three Piece Suits: Indocino | Pocket Squares: The Tie Bar | Groom’s Tie: Tommy Hilfiger | Bridesmaids Dresses: After Six | Bride’s Dress Designer: Pronovias | Floral Bouquet Designer:  | Bride’s Shoes: Steve Madden | DJ: Enchanted Celebrations
