New York Botanical Gardens Wedding by Gilmore Studios

Smiling is contagious, you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. I passed around the corner, and someone saw my grin – When he smiled I realized, I’d passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile, then I realized it’s worth, A single smile, just like mine, could travel round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin, don’t leave it undetected – Let’s start an epidemic quick and get the world infected!!! – Author unknown (smile.justlol{dot}net)
The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3264From the photographer: From the photographer: This was quite an adventure for a couple of photographers from Newport Beach, CA! We have traveled out of state for weddings, but this was our first trip to NY. We took some extra time to enjoy the journey. We made lots of new friends, saw some great shows, learned how to use public transportation (while getting our credit card strip stolen) and ate some awesome food.

Tim (the groom) is a fire lieutenant for New York Fire Department and Lauren is an investment analyst. The couple lives in NYC, so they wanted to get married out of the city! What better location than the NY Botanical Gardens?! We began the day at the W Hotel. After the getting ready photos, we went downstairs to find a cab. Come to find out, taxi drivers don’t want to go to the Bronx! (There is a great photo of the bride in the street calling a cab) We eventually found a couple of drivers willing to take us and the bridesmaids out of the city and made it to the New York Botanical Gardens just in time for the first look! The rest of the day and night was spent in and around the 250-acre garden.

The bride’s family are long time friends of ours. They offered to take care of all travel expenses and even let us stay with them in NYC if we would be willing to shoot the wedding! It was a bucket list item for us to shoot a wedding in NYC. We’d love to come back and do it again some day!

From the bride:
How did you meet? We met in the Spring of 2011 in a running group in New York City. Staying active is important to us, so it made perfect sense we found each other this way.

How did he propose? Tim wanted to go for a walk on the Highline Park in the dead of winter, on the coldest day of the year. At sunset, he got down on his knee and made me the happiest girl in the world. We then went and called our families while celebrating at the Top of the Standard and ended with a lovely dinner at Gotham Bar and Grill. The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3246The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3241 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3242 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3245 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3247 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3248The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3251The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3254The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3255The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3257The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3263The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3259The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3269The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3273The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3275The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3279The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3281The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3282The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3284 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3287 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3288The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3289 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3290 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3292 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3294 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3296 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3297 The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3300The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3306The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3307The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3311The Westchester Wedding Planner, New York Botanical Gardens Wedding_3312

  1. Oh my such beautiful photos, brought back great memories. Jennifer and Brian are without a doubt the best photographers ever. They were every where but I never saw them, the invisible people taking fabulous pictures.
Honestly viewing the pictures brought me to tears they are so beautiful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being who you are making these memories for the family.
