Outdoor Mountain Wedding – Pepper Nix Photography

Oh, sweet mountain charm, there’s nothing quite like the crisp, clean mountain air. The beauty and majestic views here lend themselves  perfectly to the elegance of this wedding.  The entire wedding captured by the lovely Pepper of Pepper Nix Photography is a most beautiful outdoor affair.
The Westchester Wedding Planner, First LookDid you do a First Look before the ceremony? We didn’t know what the “first look” was about until Pepper suggested it, and we were really glad we did it. When Ty saw my gown, we really enjoyed seeing each other in our wedding duds, and getting to share our feelings and thoughts between the two of us rather than our whole group of wedding guests. The wedding day was so busy; I don’t think we would have had that opportunity otherwise. I love that our formal photos after our First Look include both of us. We have a huge variety of beautiful pictures, and we were also able to spend a lot more time with our guests after the ceremony.

Did someone escort you down the aisle? My papa! Who and why did you pick that escort? My dad walking me down the aisle was very special to me. My dad played a huge part in the planning. He went to every dress appointment, every catering tasting, the florist meetings, he even went with my mom and me to pick out wedding jewelry. It was so special to see him want to be so involved and excited about the day; I am very lucky to have a father so willing to look at hundreds of dresses and earrings!

Where did you get the inspiration for your color palette and design? My ring! Ty picked out my ring after I had told him how much I loved rose gold. I wanted a palette that would work well with our time of year and venue, along with my love for all things rose gold and blush!

Old, new, borrowed, blue – Did you follow that tradition and if so, what did you use? My mom was responsible for these things! My favorites were my borrowed and blue. My mom cut a heart out of one of my dad’s shirts, and it was sewn into the inside of my dress by the zipper. My something borrowed was a handkerchief that belonged to my grandmother. It was tucked inside of my dress. The Westchester Wedding Planner_1237The Westchester Wedding Planner_1199 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1200The Westchester Wedding Planner_1208 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1214The Westchester Wedding Planner_1207 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1209The Westchester Wedding Planner_1210 The Westchester Wedding Planner_1215The Westchester Wedding Planner_1216The Westchester Wedding Planner_1217The Westchester Wedding Planner_1220The Westchester Wedding Planner_1239The Westchester Wedding Planner_1221The Westchester Wedding Planner_1222The Westchester Wedding Planner_1224The Westchester Wedding Planner_1225The Westchester Wedding Planner_1226The Westchester Wedding Planner_1232The Westchester Wedding Planner_1228The Westchester Wedding Planner_1229The Westchester Wedding Planner_1230The Westchester Wedding Planner_1236The Westchester Wedding Planner_1238Photographer: Pepper Nix Photography | Dress Designer: Casablanca Bridal | Bakery: Cake-A-Licious | Reception Venue: Louland Falls | Dress Store: Mary’s Bridal | Floral Designer: Petal Pixie | Jewelry: Shane Co. | Shoes: Steve Madden | Caterer: Utah Celebrations, llc | Invitation Designer: Wedding Paper Divas | Groom’s Attire: Custom suit design via Dress Code | Makeup Artist: Janae Johnson | Bridesmaids Dresses: Oh My Julian | First Dance Song: “Kiss Me” by Ed Sheeran
