Another charming wedding captured by Eye Wander Photo at Race & Religious in Louisiana. I am in love with this venue and this whimsical outdoor wedding! I hired a wedding planner for the two weeks before the wedding and the day of… which I highly recommend. Had I known what I know now I would have hired a planner from the beginning.

What inspired your wedding decor? I didn’t have to decorate very much; the venue itself was the decor. It was elegant, rustic, colorful, and it was stunning as the backdrop for our big day.

What advice do you have for couples in the planning process? HAVE FUN! Make the ceremony special and elegant but let loose with the decor, food, and reception details. Remember it is all about you and your partner. And don’t forget to thank the people that helped make it all happen.

How long was your wedding planning process? Planning took almost an entire year, and it was just enough time. I could not imagine less or more time.

What was the best advice you received while planning the wedding? Spreadsheets!!!! Keeping track of everything and being to organize from the beginning. It is overwhelming.

What was your wedding budget? The budget was $30,000

What was the biggest expense? Our biggest expense was the photographer. But you should never go cheap on the photographer.
