I find destination weddings to be like little weekend getaways not just for the couple but for the guests too! This gorgeous couple planned a “weekend getaway” kind of wedding to be enjoyed by everyone for days. Blue skies, turquoise waters, sand, and a party to celebrate a glorious union! Bliss!!!

From the Bride: Why did you choose your venue? We wanted to choose a destination where people would come to celebrate with us for the whole weekend instead of just one day. Boca Grande is a hidden gem with turquoise water and white sand beaches, and it looks like paradise. The little town is so charming and we loved that everyone drove golf carts. Overlooking the beautiful Gulf with the sun setting behind us, we knew it was the perfect place to say our I Do’s!

Advice for planning a wedding? Include your fiancé! It was such a great bonding experience to come up with ideas together! When our wedding weekend finally arrived, it was so much fun for us to see all of our hard work and planning come to fruition.

Highlights of the day? For me, the ceremony was the best part of the day. It’s something I had thought about my entire life and I remember standing there just soaking it all in thinking how perfect it had turned out. Holding hands, we exchanged our own vows with the sun setting behind us on our favorite beach in the world. It was perfect.
