Air Force Wedding by Lindley’s Photography
This lovely wedding is the perfect way for us to end the work week that leads us into a 4th of July holiday weekend. A beautiful bride and her handsome groom in his Air Force Tux.
I just want to say that as we celebrate the nation’s freedom this weekend, we are thankful and honor the courageous men and women who dedicate their lives to preserving our freedom.
Tell us about your wedding day fashions: I tried on several different dresses from several different stores. I finally decided on one I wasn’t convinced. I went to a couple other stores but just kept comparing them to that one dress. Finally realized after my sister and mother kept telling me that if I am comparing everything to that dress then it must me “the dress”. The dress was perfect. It was sleeveless with a sweetheart neckline. The train is what sold me on. It had the most perfect lace. Had enough of a train but not too long. Because the wedding was outdoors I didn’t want anything too big. The lace had the perfect amount of beading on it. It twinkled in the light but didn’t have too much bling.
The Bridesmaid dresses were fun to pick out. I wanted to choose a style that flattered everyone. The bridesmaids all live in different states so getting everyone together to go look for dresses was impossible. I had two bridesmaids that were able to try on dresses, however. I choose a one shoulder dress for all my bridesmaids and a similar style with two straps for my matron on honor. The color, however, was the best part of the dress. My favorite color was blue but with it being an outdoor wedding in the spring with the girls in long dresses I thought my only option would be light blue so I basically decided I would have to go with a different color. Didn’t find one that I liked until we came across the dusty, grayish blue by The Dessy Group called Larksburg. It’s unlike any color I have seen before, but it was perfect. Not too light, not to dark and most importantly it would look good on every skin tone.
