Bahamas Elopement by Studio 22 Photography

There’s nothing more romantic than rushing off in secret to a beach somewhere on a tropical island to marry the love of your life. Megan of Studio 22 Photography was the lucky photographer to go along and capture these beautiful moments for Brandy and Matt.

From the photographer: I have to start off by admitting that I am extremely biased when it comes to the Bahamas. It’s my favorite place on earth, simply because of the emotional attachment I have to it; I met my husband on the island of Eleuthera, and a year later, it’s where he proposed. So when Brandy approached me and asked me how spontaneous I was with shooting weddings, and that their wedding was a month away in Nassau, I nearly fell off my chair saying a resounding “Please let me shoot your wedding!”

The opportunity to document the start of another couple’s journey in the Bahamas was something I couldn’t possibly pass up.I was beyond thrilled when Brandy and Matt said they would love for me to be their photographer. And oh, how wonderful of a wedding they had! Even though they were in another country, they made sure they Skyped their family throughout the day, and they were conscientious enough to be sure to include a “Skype Table” at the ceremony, where even my phone got in on the action. We called their loved ones to witness the nuptials. The reverend was one of the most amazing Officiants I have had the pleasure to watch, he expertly involved the family, who gathered via social media from the United States and Qatar. It truly felt like the family was there, even though there were oceans away.

The weather was perfect, the backdrop to the day filled with beautiful hibiscus, sea breezes, and crashing waves. As we roamed downtown Nassau for their portraits, people of the island honked and cheered their congratulations to the couple. Simply put, it was one of the most laid back, yet joyous weddings I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. Matt and Brandy are two of the sweetest people, and they invited me to join in on their ceremony like family; I even had the honor of signing as a witness for them! Matt & Brandy, are beyond wonderful. Their personalities were so much fun, and their love for one another shined through. The Westchester Wedding Planner_2150 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2151 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2152 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2153 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2154The Westchester Wedding Planner_2155 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2156 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2157 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2158 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2159The Westchester Wedding Planner_2160 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2161 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2162 The Westchester Wedding Planner_2164The Westchester Wedding Planner_2163The Westchester Wedding Planner_2165The Westchester Wedding Planner_2166The Westchester Wedding Planner_2167The Westchester Wedding Planner_2168The Westchester Wedding Planner_2169The Westchester Wedding Planner_2170The Westchester Wedding Planner_2171The Westchester Wedding Planner_2172The Westchester Wedding Planner_2173The Westchester Wedding Planner_2174The Westchester Wedding Planner_2175The Westchester Wedding Planner_2176The Westchester Wedding Planner_2177The Westchester Wedding Planner_2178Photographer:  Studio 22 Photography | Accommodations: Sandals Royal Bahamian Location:Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island
