Brooklyn Botanical Garden Wedding
No doubt, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is truly a dream location for any soiree. For a wedding, however, it’s nothing short of the perfect fairytale venue. The glass dome conservatory, The Palm House, is the ideal setting for a romantic and elegant affair. Go on, feast your eyes on these gorgeous photographs by Sarah Tew Photography.
From the Bride: Why did you choose your venue? We chose our venue because it was a place surrounded by natural beauty. When you walk in, you forget you are in the heart of Brooklyn. No cars, no brick, just flowers, trees and nature. Beauty that does not need to be adorned with any extras.
What was the wedding planning process like? Surprisingly calm. Above all, we wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us and our relationship: fun and unique. We are not huge on traditions so a lot of our choices surprised our families, but Greg and I worked together on every decision we made and for the most part were on the same page, which made is easy.
What would be your best advice for a bride planning her wedding? Things will go wrong. If something goes wrong think first: If this doesn’t happen, will the wedding still go on? If the answer is yes, let it go. Our wedding day started out foggy and gloomy. It had rained early that morning and by 10 am I had accepted that I would not be getting married on the lawn under that beautiful tree. But I was ok with it because I knew that no matter which aisle I was walking down, I was still walking toward Greg.
