Fairy Tale Garden Wedding
We were swept away with this charming southern vintage wedding. From the rustic white gate to the blush decor and accents, this couple’s garden wedding is truly beautiful and timeless.
From the Bride: How did you meet? Our love story started over three years ago. Cameron is from Knoxville, Tennessee, and moved to Charleston for a landscaping job. I was born and raised in Charleston, but wanted to meet new people. In May 2011, we both decided to join an online dating site. From that first date to the Riverdog’s game, we knew we found something truly special. We instantly felt comfortable with each other, and every moment was filled with talking and laughing. We became pretty inseparable after that!
How did he propose? On May 19th, 2013 after two years of dating, he popped the question at the end of my parent’s dock on John’s Island- one of our favorite places to spend time. When he opened the box, I was blown away. I may be partial, but I think it’s the most gorgeous engagement ring on the planet! It is unique, romantic, and vintage.
What was your wedding planning like? After spending day after day staring at it, the ring organically became the inspiration for our wedding. Romantic vintage became the essence of what I wanted our wedding to capture. One of my favorite parts was the white gate my father built for us to use. I felt like from the moment the guests entered the area, they were whisked away to a vintage fairy tale. The cake table with the mirrored backdrop was my absolute favorite part of the inside; it was truly magical! And to top it all off? To look up from there to see draping down the entire middle section, chandelier light fixtures and beautiful flowers arranged by my grandmother. It was all so breathtaking, and exactly what I had envisioned.
