Valley of Fire Desert Wedding Inspiration
With the fiery red rocks and dramatic landscapes of the fabulous Valley of Fire State Park, near Las Vegas, Nevada as a design element, Cactus and Lace Weddings and Rey of Light Seniors came together to create something extraordinary.
Using the Valley of Fire as a design base, and forgoing the usual light colors and blush pinks usually found in a wedding, the focus instead was on rich, jewel tones, with accents of vibrant color using geodes found in the Zion National Park area of Utah. Formed in the earth, these polished geodes gleamed in colors of garnet, rich blues, and warm, deep greens while using blacks and gray for dramatic colors and tones. Even the brides’ crown of raw quartz, created by Emma Kaztka Bridal, and earrings and ring, by Gaias’ Candy, repeated the idea of rock, and stone.
The theme matched our location perfectly as Valley of Fire has unique and highly unusual rock formations and colors. Our bride looked exceptionally graceful, elegant, even otherworldly while wearing a gown designed by My Wony Bridals. Her dress was a fantastic multiple layered design with gossamer like wispy, delicate hand work on the bodice. Her maids looked equally as elegant in gowns designed by Jenny Yoo.
Our groom selected The Black Tux as a provider for his sleek tux. The wedding cake, created by Peridot Sweets, include deep colored geodes as décor. Fantastic florals, created by The Front Porch Flowers, were wild and flowing, to match the dramatic landscape for which they were created. Hair and makeup design was expertly handled by Ruby Finch Salon of Las Vegas and perfectly matched the vision of ethereal beauty desired, which richly added to the theme of fantasy for this day.
