Owls Hoot Barn Wedding
With so many rustic chic weddings crossing our path every week, it’s so much fun to see something just a little bit different. Check out the super creative and oh so adorable seating plan… a real hoot! A quick Q&A with the Bride: What are some Do’s and Don’ts you learned during the planning process? You and your fiancé should set non-negotiables for your big day. Decide on the things you cant live without and don’t settle. Remember, it’s YOUR day and no one else’s. Fill out the form your photographer gives you! For some reason, I kept putting that one particular task off. Looking back, there are so many pictures I wish I had.
Do you have a story about a problem(s) you had while planning your wedding or on your wedding day? How did you overcome it? Luckily, I don’t. Claudio and I were both very easy going throughout the whole process. At the end of all of it, I just wanted to be with him. Nothing else mattered.
What was the most personal, memorable or even funny moment at your wedding? Our vows. It was the one thing I was most looking forward to and my favorite memory. There is something so special about looking your future husband or wife in the eyes, saying how you feel about them and promising your future to one another. We wrote our own vows and had no idea what the other one was going to say. Those few moments were my favorite by far.
What was the role of tradition in your wedding? Old traditions? New traditions? The most important part of our wedding ceremony was involving friends and family. Our very good friend Geoff officiated our wedding, our friend Gretchen who was a bridesmaid made my wedding band and the bridesmaids jewelry and Jack , her longtime boyfriend made Claudio’s band (www.jackandg.com). Our ceremony music was performed by our friends Dan and Julie. Having friends sing us down the aisle was so special. A reading was done by Claudio’s childhood friend Sydney (who has been one if my closest friends for years now and his Aunt Jo read a poem she had written for us. My MOH was my sister Kara who is a wedding planner (www.mybellissima.com) my childhood friend Alie, Gretchen and my Mom. Having my Mom in my wedding party was very important to me. She is one of my very best friends and I needed to have her standing with me on my day. Claudio’s side consisted of his brother Marcello, his cousin Sergio, childhood friends Jack and Pedro and a junior groomsmen Luca – his little cousin. Emilia, Luca’s little sister was our flower girl. Since Claudio and I had been together for ten years when we said I Do, no matter who was standing on either side we were both very close to them.
