Romantic Rose Elopement by Sugar Cookies
Ok, I have to admit that having visited Italy on several occasions it is one of a handful of countries I absolutely adore. So when a wedding or styled shoot is sent our way I can’t help but gush and daydream. This elopement styled photo shoot is one of such submission. With a rose theme, these lovely images set in the Umbria region of Italy feel dreamy and so romantic.“A rose themed wedding can’t possibly be anything but pure romance. A Rose, with its unique, delicate beauty, is the embodiment of lovers’ most memorable day. Federico, a landscape architect and Laura, an incurable romantic girl, find in this theme a meeting point between tradition and creativity. We proposed Villa Taticchi as the location. An elegant Medieval Villa on the outskirts of Perugia surrounded by a park of secular trees immersed in the verdant Umbrian countryside perfectly matches the bohemian style from which we drew inspiration. The sober and delicate tones of ivory, pale pink and deep pink were our inspiration palette. Nothing was left to chance: from the Victorian-style invitation suite, to the lace and embroidered drapery to the tableau marriage, every single detail was precisely chosen and created with the utmost care for this unique wedding. The entire event took place at the Villa, from the civil ceremony to the reception. “Our desire is to recreate an atmosphere that reflects our story, our passion for everything Vintage and of course botany.
We would like an intimate and romantic event to share with a small group of friends and relatives.” This was the couple’s request after meeting them in our studio. Laura chose the perfect wedding dress from our collection of wedding dresses. The asymmetrical cut bodice with embroidered Chantilly lace and delicate embossed silk tulle and the full skirt with several layers of tulle with lace at the edges perfectly suited her silhouette. Her natural curly hair was tied in back loosely and held together with an antique hair comb. Federico was very handsome in his grey suit.
The antique table was placed outside the main entrance of the Villa. The Romantic Wedding Cake, with delicate hand-painted roses of traditional English sugar icing, enclosed the classical Italian patisserie: simple cake, custard and fresh seasonal fruit. The photographic style captures the emotions and the shy tenderness expressed in the eyes of the young couple. Luminous photos, soft and ethereal; the quest for lightness and the soft colours, portray a beautiful description of this magical day.”
