Today’s wedding is a timeless and classic affair at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Pier in Manhattan captured by the lovely Sarah Tew. From the Jimmy Choo to the Monique Lhullier Amy was a vision of glamour and elegance.From Sarah Tew: Amy & Brett planned a classic and elegant wedding at a beautiful venue in Manhattan, The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. I arrived early to scout for possible portraits locations inside and outside. I was delighted to find that creatively there were many spots that appealed to me. I found that we didn’t even need to venture further than the street to capture a healthy round of fun and creative portraits. And, of course, for formal pictures it made perfect sense to shoot in front of the beautiful Chuppah and outside with the river in the background, particularly as the sun went down during cocktail hour. I was lucky enough to get the couple outside for a few more shots both at sunset and again after dark once the lights were glittering across the river. Highlights of the day included the ceremony performed by the wonderful Rabbi Uri Goren and the Hank Lane’s Marcus Reid Band. They sure know how to rock a wedding reception! I was so honored to shoot this lovely wedding and couldn’t be happier for this great couple!

From the bride: We were going for a classic, elegant look that would highlight the space and compliment the beautiful venue and view. As the wedding was in August, we had mostly white and pale pink flowers for a summery, light feel. Each centerpiece had pin lighting and votive candles to give a romantic feel and emphasize the dramatic nighttime view of the Hudson River. We also had tea lights hanging over the dance floor and lanterns lining the hallway to add to the ambiance.
