The Society Room Wedding by Candace Jeffery Photography
This beautiful venue is full of magnificent details. Ideal for a glamorous wedding and this sure is awesome! Photographed by Candace and Josh Jeffery, this beauty in this dramatic and historic landmark is definitely a favorite.Did you DIY? We had a couple of DIY projects. We made the snowflake votives for cocktail hour, the Mr. and Mrs. signs on the head table and the monogram vases on the head table for the bridesmaid bouquets. We also DIYed the “Here comes the bride” sign for our flower girl.
Do you have any advice for the bride-to-be? My advice for a future bride would be to do a receiving line…it really allowed us to spend more time at our reception relaxing and having fun. We had already seen everyone, and so we didn’t feel obligated to make rounds a the reception tables.
From the Photographer: With shades of purple, silver and black, the wedding was beautiful and seasonally appropriate. After getting ready we had their First Look at Hartford City Hall. Next we went to the Capitol Building for more portraits, and lastly a quick stop on Pratt Street. Their ceremony took place at Hartford City Hall, where Sal Fiore performed a very heartfelt ceremony. As always The Society Room proved to be an excellent choice for their reception.
