Waldorf Astoria Park City by Pepper Nix Photography
This beautiful bride is wearing her dream wedding dress. The dress she always imagined she would wear at her wedding. A perfect champagne color Maggie Sottero ball gown with vintage inspired lace, beautiful beaded detail and just the right amount of sparkle. Fit for a princess!Tell us about the Venue: The wedding was at the Waldorf Astoria in Park City. The hotel is nestled in the tranquil Wasatch Mountains. I loved the beautiful alpine setting that made me feel peaceful and at home. We said our vows in front of a beautiful fireplace with a gorgeous mantle underneath a spectacular chandelier in the lobby. The exchanging of vows was most definitely our favorite memory of the day. It was so touching to see the emotion and sincerity my husband had on his face and in his voice while both were saying his vows and hearing mine.
I am glad we decided to keep everything in one place. I can’t even imagine the craziness of changing locations in the middle of the wedding.
I would describe the décor as timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication. It felt so surreal as I was walking down the spiral staircase. The marble floors, accented with black hardwood were stunning. The crystal chandelier sparkled as I made my way down the aisle. The dark tones were a perfect background for my champagne dress and colorful bouquet. The windows that were two stories high let in the July sunlight. The dining room was rustic with a modern flare. The tables were covered with white linen and fresh flowers at every table. The chairs were tan leather with clean lines.
I chose red to honor my husband’s Chinese tradition and pink because I could never imagine my wedding without having some pink. I thought the color combination was beautiful and unique.
Anything you wish you hadn’t done? We rented the fire-pit for the guests to do s’mores but it was at the end of the night, and barely any guests stayed for it. So remember longer doesn’t mean better.
What was the best piece of wedding advice you got? Remember that the marriage is more important than the wedding and you need to compromise.
What piece of wedding planning advice do you wish you followed? Not to stress the little things. Make a list of things that are a priority to you and focus first and foremost on those things and don’t stress too much about the rest.
