Wedding Inspiration at Kittle House
The Crabtree’s Kittle House has been home to numerous gorgeous weddings. The beautiful combination of garden, historic charm and the farm to table restaurant make this venue a very special place for a Westchester wedding. A note from photographer Donna Cheung: Here’s a styled wedding inspiration photo shoot that took place at the historic Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, NY. The concept and design by Denise Buzy-Pucheu from The Persnickety Bride. The color palette of deep burgundy and yellows were chosen to compliment the classic elegance and beauty of the Inn.
The bride wore an ivory Alvina Valenta tulle dress courtesy of A Little Something White Bridal Couture. Rather than a traditional bridal party we opted for junior bridesmaids, flower girls, and ring bearers to add a more unique and fun twist to the shoot.
From Denise, owner of The Persnickety Bride: I wanted to combine my love of Tuscany in the Fall with products, textures and colors available at The Persnickety Bride. I spend a lot of time in Europe and find much of my inspiration from the look of the old world and the new.
My thought for the color palette was to bring a delicious European flair to the table with multi-texture linens and colors with a chic rustic feel paying homage to “la campagna.”
The stationery was created to again give our color palette the ability to shine with a little touch of green, clementine, bark paper, the simplest of ribbons to tie the look together.
The rich and elegant floral design by Merrilee of Ganim’s Florist was executed to perfection. She created a fabulous table setting that was warm and inviting.
The bride’s headpiece was of a gold, crystal, and pearl, demi wreath that was beyond stunning. I requested hair wreaths be made for the girls as well as for the dog to keep the look simple and natural.
The baskets had a hint of pearl and were adorned with burlap ribbon matching the stationery accessories. Keeping things simple allowed the colors of the stationery and table decor to shine through.
Lastly, we incorporate the trendy mason jars as fun pieces that may also be used as favors.
