Roxbury Motel Wedding – Turnquist Photography
An intimate wedding, an awesome dress and a great wedding photographer were on this bride’s list of wedding planning priorities. A pretty typical list if you ask me. In my opinion, professional wedding photography should definitely be on that list. Your wedding day photographs are some of the few things you’ll have remaining from that special day.
What are some Do’s and Don’ts you learned during the planning process? Pick three things that you must have at your wedding. I wanted a small wedding, an awesome dress, and a great photographer. My now husband wanted a dance party and a great photographer. Once we combined our must-haves, we had a clear idea of what we wanted our wedding to be like. Prioritizing allows you to let go of the small things that don’t matter as much to you. I didn’t care as much about the food or the types of flowers we had; it was more about creating an intimate, celebratory setting.

Tell us about your favorite memory of the day. One of my favorite memories was getting both sets of our parents dancing and taking shots together to our Spotify list of hip hop and motown music. One thing that didn’t go so well: My sister forgot to bring my bouquet to me to walk down the aisle. I mentioned it to my mom who passed along the message. My sister yelled “oh crap” and ran away, leaving my fiancé under the chuppah confused and worried.
