From the photographer: Stranded by the Sea, Lost in Love. Only nature could provide us with this heart-stopping backdrop of crashing waves, silky sand, and billowing clouds. So when we started thinking about a summer photo shoot, naturally leaned towards the picturesque seascape found along the Southern California coastline at the Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach. However, California beach weddings can be underwhelmingly casual. Flip-flops, khakis, and short-sleeve shirts are all great when considering comfort, but they take away from the natural beauty these places provide. This is why we aimed for a shipwrecked theme to create magical images. The jewel tones, beach glass, and sunken treasure all served as inspiration, setting the stage for this unique vow exchange.

With ships in the distance under a canopy of storm clouds, this view painted an ideal canvas to frame the wedding details. The impeccable makeup, the elegant up-do and flowing curls, the one-of-a-kind beach glass jewelry, the magnificent bridal gowns with exemplary detailing, and a classic groom’s suit, it all completes this mystical day.
