Happy Saturday! We are happy to bring you Tomayia Colvin‘s vision for the design of this styled photo shoot. The inspiration was pulled from the brilliant colors in “Exploring Rothko” (an art piece by renown artist Ted Ellis) allowing it to flow beautifully throughout the details. The combination of the bold turquoise linen, red and purple flowers, and gold embellishments echo the sophistication that exudes from the painting. Our theme and inspiration came from a beautiful painting titled “Exploring Rothko” by renown artist, Ted Ellis.

Our goal was to bring his piece of art to life in the creation of a stylized wedding shoot. The bold contrast in colors are so striking, so we came together to ensure that every element emanated the aura of Mr. Ellis’s work. Collaborations are crucial in our industry, as they strengthen the bond in the community of vendors. So, to be able to collaborate and honor such a talented artist was an awesome experience. We can only hope that our work is as impactful as the work of Ted Ellis.
